The Munter Trail is part of Clarkson University’s trail system and is a wide, level packed sand trail with multiple overlooks, picnic areas and a boat launch with stunning views from the banks of the Raquette River. Ideal for users of all ages and abilities, whether you are walking your dog, out for a jog, riding your bike or pushing a stroller. The trail begins near the Stewart’s Shops location on Maple Street, and its terminus at the entrance to the historic Bayside Cemetery, allowing you to continue your stroll there. The ROTC Trails at Clarkson University are located in a wooded area behind the university, and include obstacles used by the ROTC program for their training each year. Open to the public year-round, the trails are accessible for mountain biking, hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Stevie’s Trail is an accessible trail that leads around the grounds of the Potsdam Central School District, leading visitors and children alike around the athletic fields and playgrounds in an activity-friendly loop, which often hosts family-friendly races and events.
