The Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squad, faithfully serving the community since 1955, is a beacon of reassurance and safety for the residents of Potsdam. Their selfless efforts extend beyond the immediate response to emergencies, as evidenced by their organization of a Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support class in partnership with the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. This initiative allowed EMS providers across St. Lawrence County to enhance their understanding and implementation of best practices in trauma life support.
