The village is home to St. Lawrence Health (an affiliate of Rochester Regional Health) and Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs in emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, and critical care are supplemented by outpatient health services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Gouverneur, Massena, Norfolk, and Potsdam, NY, and by specialist care in over 25 different specialties, including a robust orthopedic surgery and sports medicine program and the Center for Cancer Care. Level III Trauma Care and a Critical Care Unit are also available at CPH. The hospital is currently completing a major expansion, with construction of its $71.8 million Regional Care Pavilion.

Potsdam Farmer’s Market The Market is located at the Main Street Parking Lot adjacent to Ives Park and is open on Saturday from 9:00AM-2:00PM, from May 13 through October 28, 2023. You can find more information on their Facebook page.

Potsdam Neighborhood Center The mission of the Potdsam Neighborhood Center is to help people in the Potsdam area community move toward self-sufficiency. Obtaining available aid is often a difficult task for individuals and families, yet within our own community lie resources and assistance to help those who need help with the next steps. As an outreach site of the St. Lawrence County Community Development Program (CDP), the Potsdam Neighborhood Center is supported by CDP funds, as well as by generous contributions by individuals, businesses, organizations and faith-based groups to help our neighbors to help themselves.
