Information

Situated on an island in the Raquette River, Fall Island Park is a diamond-in-the-rough. Fall Island Park is used by everyone from local anglers, skateboarders and picnickers. The local Lions Club maintains a memorial grove in the park. Acquired in 1978, the park has a functional gravel canoe beach and a wheelchair accessible fishing pier, as well as picnic tables and benches overlooking the river and the Village’s two hydroelectric dams.

Under the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, the Village is set to construct the Fall Island Skatepark as part of its Riverwalk project at the southern end of the park. This facility will double as an outdoor art gallery, with design-focused skateable surfaces, creating another recreation destination in the heart of the village.
